Top 10 Tips for Successful Dressing

Top 10 Tips for Successful Dressing

1. Invest in good quality tailored clothing that will stand the test of time. Buy conservative suits and trousers that won’t be out of style next season, and use dress shirts and accessories to personalize your fashion statement.

2. Find a competent tailor and treat him or her very well. Proper alterations on suits , trousers and sports coats are critical to your appearance.

3. Be a bit adventurous when matching shirts and ties. A large patterned necktie will work quite well with a small patterned dress shirt, and vice versa. For example, pair a paisley tie with a micro-check dress shirt.

4. Make sure your shoes are shined and appropriate for the rest of your ensemble. For example, don’t wear penny loafers with a suit, or cap toe dress shoes with chinos.

5. Do not underestimate the importance of accessorizing properly. Your belt should match your shoes and your socks should coordinate with your trousers.

6. Make yourself “perspiration proof”. Always wear an undershirt beneath your dress shirt, and carry a handkerchief to wipe perspiration from your hands or brow.

7. Purchase a small, fold-up umbrella and keep it in your briefcase at all times. Nothing takes the crispness out of a man’s appearance like an unexpected rain shower.

8. Unless you are in a profession where artistic flair is expected, always try to err on the side of dressing too conservatively.

9. Emulate ( but don not copy) your boss, or other senior executives at your company, in your manner of dress.

10. Never wear anything that you are not totally comfortable with. People will sense that something is not quite right.

Let it go

For some time now, have been holding on to some relationships. Some relationships that have not been adding value to me in anyway.

It's really been a tough decision for me to let go of these relationships. It seems i have been begging some people to stay in my lives but guess what, it's time to let go of these unhealthy relationships.

A friend forwarded a mail from T.D Jakes and after reading the mail, i printed the mail and decided it seems it's time to let go finally of these relationships. I would share the mail with you all and tell me what you feel.

Incase you are in my shoes, after reading the mail make sure you let it go, probably the person's part in your success story has ended.

Let it go for 2007.
By T. D. Jakes
There are people who can walk away from you.
And hear me when I tell you this! When people can walkaway from you: let them walk.
I don't want you to try to talk another person intostaying with you, loving you, calling you, caring about you, coming tosee you, staying attached to you.
I mean hang up the phone. When people can walk away from you let them walk.
Your destiny is never tied to anybody that left.
The bible said that, they came out from usthat it might be made manifest that they were not for us.
For had they been of us, no doubt they would have continued with us. [1 John 2:19]People leave you because they are not joined to you.
And if they are not joined to you, you can't make them stay.
Let them go.
And it doesn't mean that they are bad people, it just means that their part in the story is over. And you've gotto know when people's part in your story is over so that you don't keep trying to raise the dead.
You've got to know when it's dead. You've got to know when it's over. Let me tell yousomething. I've got the gift of good-bye. It's the tenth spiritual gift, I believe in good-bye.
It's not that I'm hateful, it's that I'm faithful, and I know whatever God means for me to have He'll give it to me.And if it takes too much sweat I don't need it.
Stop begging people to stay.
Let them go!!
If you are holding on to something that doesn't belong to you and was never intended for your life, then you need to......
LET IT GO!!!
If you are holding on to past hurts and pains ......
LET IT GO!!!
If someone can't treat you right, love you back, andsee your worth.....
LET IT GO!!!
If someone has angered you ........
LET IT GO!!!
If you are holding on to some thoughts of evil and revenge......
LET IT GO!!!
If you are involved in a wrong relationship or addiction......
LET IT GO!!!
If you are holding on to a job that no longer meets your needs or talents ....
LET IT GO!!!
If you have a bad attitude.......
LET IT GO!!!
If you keep judging others to make yourself feel better......
LET IT GO!!!
If you're stuck in the past and God is trying to takeyou to a new level in Him......
LET IT GO!!!
If you are struggling with the healing of a brokenrelationship.......
LET IT GO!!!
If you keep trying to help some people who won't even tryto help themselves......
LET IT GO!!!
If you're feeling depressed and stressed ........
LET IT GO!!!
If there is a particular situation that you are soused to handling yourselfand God is saying "take your hands off of it,"then you need to......
LET IT GO!!!
Let the past be the past. Forget the former things.GOD is doing a new thing for 2007!!!
LET IT GO!!!
Get Right or Get Left.. think about it, and then ....
LET IT GO!!!
"The Battle is the Lord's!"
I was indeed touched and blessed by this message and guess what, It's bye bye to those unhealthy relationships because may be their part in my success story has ended.
So make that decision today and let go of any unhealthy and unproductive relationships in your life.
Many thanks for taking time to read my blog and this post and don't forget to share it with as many people as possible.
Take care and God bless

HE Listens

I got this from an old friend and it blessed me so I thought it would be a blessing too.

A minister passing through his church in the middle of the day,Decided to pause by the altar and see who had come to pray.

Just then the back door opened, a man came down the aisle,And the minister frowned as he saw the man hadn't shaved in a while.

His shirt was kind a shabby and his coat was worn and frayed, The man knelt; he bowed his head, then rose and walked away.

In the days that followed, each noon time came this chap,Each time he knelt just for a moment, a lunch pail in his lap.

Well, the minister's suspicions grew, with robbery a main fear,He decided to stop the man and ask him, “What are you doing here?"The old man said, he worked down the road.

Lunch was half an hour.Lunchtime was his prayer time, for finding strength and power.

"I stay only moments, see, because the factory is so far away;As I kneel here talking to the Lord, This is kinda what I say: "I JUST CAME AGAIN TO TELL YOU, LORD, HOW HAPPY I'VE BEEN, SINCE WE FOUND EACH OTHER'S FRIENDSHIP AND YOU TOOK AWAY MY SIN. DON'T KNOW MUCH OF HOW TO PRAY, BUT I THINK ABOUT YOU EVERYDAY. SO, JESUS, THIS IS JIM CHECKING IN TODAY."

The minister feeling foolish, told Jim that was fine.He told the man he was welcome to come and pray just anytime.

Time to go, Jim smiled, said "Thanks." He hurried to the door. The minister knelt at the altar; he'd never done it before. His cold heart melted, warmed with love, and met with Jesus there.

As the tears flowed, in his heart, he repeated old Jim's prayer: "I JUST CAME AGAIN TO TELL YOU, LORD, HOW HAPPY I'VE BEEN, SINCE WE FOUND EACH OTHER'S FRIENDSHIP AND YOU TOOK AWAY MY SIN. I DON'T KNOW MUCH OF HOW TO PRAY, BUT I THINK ABOUT YOU EVERYDAY. SO, JESUS, THIS IS ME CHECKING IN TODAY.

" Past noon one day, the minister noticed that old Jim hadn't come.As more days passed without Jim, he became to worry some.

At the factory, he asked about him, learning he was ill.

The hospital staff was worried, but he'd given them a thrill.

The week that Jim was with them, Brought changes in the ward. His smiles, a joy contagious.Changed people, were his reward.

The head nurse couldn't understand why Jim was so glad, when no flowers, Calls or cards came,Not a visitor he had.

The minister stayed by his bed,He voiced the nurse's concern:No friends came to show they cared. He had nowhere to turn.

Looking surprised, old Jim spoke up and with a winsome smile;"The nurse is wrong, she couldn't know, that in here all the while everyday At noon He's here, a dear friend of mine, you see,

He sits right down, takes my hand, Leans over and says to me: "I JUST CAME AGAIN TO TELL YOU, JIM, HOW HAPPY I HAVE BEEN, SINCE WE FOUND THIS FRIENDSHIP, AND I TOOK AWAY YOUR SIN. ALWAYS LOVE TO HEAR YOU PRAY, I THINK ABOUT YOU EACH DAY, AND SO JIM, THIS IS JESUS CHECKING IN TODAY."

Stay blessed and remember God loves you more than you can ever think or Imagine

Time: The most precious resource

Time is your most precious resource. It is the most valuable thing you have. It is perishable, it is irreplaceable, and it cannot be saved. It can only be reallocated from activities of lower value to activities of higher value. All work requires time. And time is absolutely essential for the important relationships in your life. The very act of taking a moment to think about your time before you spend it will begin to improve your personal time management immediately.

Time is an equal-opportunity employer. We all get 24 hours, 1,440 minutes, 86,400 seconds daily, and we must account for how we use them.

Pastor Adrian Rogers says: ‘The misuse of anything as precious as time should be a crime. If someone steals your car…you can acquire another. If they snatch your wallet…a few phone calls would salvage the majority of your concerns. But who can you tell when you lose your time?

How you spend your days is how you spend your life, so make sure every single minute counts.

David put it like this: ‘ Teach us to make the most of our time, so that we may grow in wisdom’ ( Psalm 90:12 NLT).

Time remains the most valuable resource that God has given all of us in equal measure. It must be wisely invested. Beloved, invest your time in worshipping God. Invest it in acquiring wisdom. Invest it in the service of humanity. Invest it in your family.

An Adage says that time wastes for no man. Make sure you start investing in your destiny today. Acquire Knowledge everyday. Take that sourse. Read books. Associate with those who have results.

Make sure you are very prudent with your time. Don't waste time because time would end up wasting you.

Wish you all the best and see you all @ the top!!!!

Yours to serve,

Give thanks always

A certain man died and went to heaven. He was granted a chance to go round God's premises and below was his observation as the angel Gabriel took him around.

They entered the first department, a very big hall where so many angels (in their millions) were busy sorting letters. The man was surprised and asked in amusement, "what are they doing?"

Gabriel answered, "they are sorting letters of prayer requests according totheir categories, for people who are sick, seeking jobs, need deliverance etc for God's intervention." They moved on to the next department where they saw almost the same set-up but this time the angels were packing letters into boxes and sealing them.

Again the man asked what they were doing and Gabrielanswered, "they are sealing God's letters in reply to the request made by people on earth for good health, jobs, children, success etc."Lastly, they went to the last department where they saw only one man sitting and dozing, with nothing much to do.

This time the man was perplexed and asked slowly, "why is this man sitting here?"Gabriel turned and looked at the man, "this department is not at all busy,he is supposed to be receiving "thanks giving" from people on earth whowould have received their replies of blessings from God but none seems toremember where the blessings came from that's why this department has only one man to take care of all the duties, and he is never busy thus you see him dozing.

"The man's heart was moved, tears dropped from his eyes and he wished he could go back on earth to inform his brothers and sisters of what he saw.

* What did God do to you?
* How many answers have you received?
* How many obstacles have you overcome?
* How many wars did you find yourself a victor?
* Did you give thanks to the Lord?

Today you are alive, strong and healthy, you have a good job - did you thankGod??? If you want God to keep on answering to your requests, try giving thanks in any form each time you receive His blessings.

Read MALACHI 3 V 8 & 10, PSALMS 121 V 1-2.

Give thanks all the time. It pays to have a grateful heart
