Thank God
The year is gradually ending and all I can say is Thank you God. Join me and say the prayer below as we appreciate God
DEAR GOD: I want to thank You for what you have already done. I am not going to wait until I see results or receive rewards; I am thanking you right now.
I am not going to wait until I feel better or things look better; until people say they are sorry or until they stop talking about me; until the pain in my body disappears; until my financial situation improves; until the children are asleep and the house is quiet; until I get promoted at work or until I get the job; I am going to thank you right now.
I am not going to wait until I understand every experience in my life that has caused me pain or grief; I am not going to wait until the journey gets easier or the challenges are removed; I am thanking you right now.
I am thanking you because I am alive. I am thanking you because I made it through the day's difficulties. I am thanking you because I have walked around the obstacles. I am thanking you because I have the ability and the opportunity to do more and dobetter.
I'm thanking You because OH LORD, YOU haven't given up on me.
God is just so good, and he's good all the time.
Wish you all the best life has to offer.
Cheers!

Your life is a living Bible
Some weeks after he arrived, he had an opportunity to ride the bus from his home to the downtown area.
When he sat down, he discovered that the driver had accidentally given him a quarter too much in change. As he considered what to do, he thought to himself, 'You'd better give the quarter back. It would be wrong to keep it.' Then he thought, 'Oh, forget it, it's only a quarter.
Who would worry about this little amount anyway, and the bus company gets too much fare already; they will never miss it.
Accept it as a gift from God and keep quiet.' When his stop came, he paused momentarily at the door,
Then he handed the quarter to the driver and said... 'Here, you gave me too much change.'
The driver, with a smile, replied, 'Aren't you the new preacher in town?
I have been thinking a lot lately about going somewhere to worship.
I just wanted to see what you would do if I gave you too much change.
I'll see you at church on Sunday. ‘When the preacher stepped off of the bus, he literally grabbed the nearest light pole, held on, and said, 'Oh God, I almost sold your Son for a quarter.'
Our lives are the only Bible some people will ever read.
Another Realization
This is sad but very true. Every relationship has an expiry date and once the relationship has expired make sure you let it go.
Maybe the person's part in your success story is over.

The Seed and the CEO
He called all the young executives in his company together. He said, "It is time for me to step down and choose the next CEO.
I have decided to choose one of you."The young executives were shocked, but the boss continued, "I am going to give each one of you a SEED today -- one very special SEED. I want you to plant the seed, water it and come back here one year from today with what you have grown from the seed I have given you.
I will then judge the plants that you bring, and the one I choose will be the next CEO."One man, named Jim, was there that day and he, like the others, received a seed. He went home and, excitedly, told his wife the story. She helped him get a pot, soil and compost and he planted the seed.
Every day, he would water it and watch to see if it had grown. After about three weeks, some of the other executives began to talk about their seeds and the plants that were beginning to grow. Jim kept checking his seed, but nothing ever grew.Three weeks, four weeks, five weeks went by, still nothing.
By now, others were talking about their plants, but Jim didn't have a plant and he felt like a failure.Six months went by -- still nothing in Jim's pot. He just knew he had killed his seed. Everyone else had trees and tall plants, but he had nothing. Jim didn't say anything to his colleagues, however.
He just kept watering and fertilizing the soil. He so wanted the seed to grow.A year finally went by and all the young executives of the company brought their plants to the CEO for inspection. Jim told his wife that he wasn't going to take an empty pot. But she asked Jim to be honest about what happened.
Jim felt sick at his stomach, it was going to be the most embarrassing moment of his life, but he knew his wife was right. He took his empty pot to the board room. When Jim arrived, he was amazed at the variety of plants grown by the other executives. They were beautiful -- in all shapes and sizes.
Jim put his empty pot on the floor and many of his colleagues laughed. A few felt sorry for him! When the CEO arrived, he surveyed the room and greeted his young executives.
Jim just tried to hide in the back."My, what great plants, trees and flowers you have grown," said the CEO. "Today one of you will be appointed the next CEO!"All of a sudden, the CEO spotted Jim at the back of the room with his empty pot.
He ordered the financial director to bring him to the front.Jim was terrified. He thought, "The CEO knows I'm a failure! Maybe he will have me fired!"When Jim got to the front, the CEO asked him what had happened to his seed.
Jim told him the story. The CEO asked everyone to sit down except Jim. He looked at Jim, and then announced to the young executives, "Behold your next Chief Executive! His name is Jim!"Jim couldn't believe it. Jim couldn't even grow his seed. "How could Jim be the new CEO?” the others said.
Then the CEO said, "One year ago today, I gave everyone in this room a seed. I told you to take the seed, plant it, water it and bring it back to me today."But I gave you all boiled seeds; they were dead -- it was not possible for them to grow.
All of you, except Jim, have brought me trees and plants and flowers."When you found that the seed would not grow, you substituted another seed for the one I gave you.
Jim was the only one with the courage and honesty to bring me a pot with my seed in it.
Therefore, he is the one who will be the new Chief Executive!"
If you plant honesty, you will reap trust.
If you plant goodness, you will reap friends.
If you plant humility, you will reap greatness.I
f you plant perseverance, you will reap contentment.
If you plant consideration, you will reap perspective.
If you plant hard work, you will reap success.
If you plant forgiveness, you will reap reconciliation.
If you plant faith in God, you will reap a harvest.
So be careful what you plant now; it will determine what you will reap later.

The Strength of a man
It's seen in the width of his arms that circle you.
The strength of a man isn't in the deep tone of his voice.
It's in the gentle words he whispers.
The strength of a man isn't how many buddies he has.
It's how good a buddy he is with his kids.
The strength of a man isn't in how respected he is at work.
It's in how respected he is at home.
The strength of a man isn't in how hard he hits.
It's in how tender he touches.
The strength of a man isn't in the hair on his chest.
It's in his Heart...that lies within his chest.
The strength of a man isn't how many women he's loved.
It's in how he can be true to one woman.
The strength of a man isn't in the weight he can lift.
It's in the burdens he can carry.
So where lies thy strength?

Patterns Of Excellence
'What do the most successful people in the planet have all in common, that allows them to enjoy the success they have today?'
It's plain common sense, isn't it?
All the rich and successful people in the world must be doing or possessing something similar that have allowed them to achieve the success they have in life.
Success doesn't happen by chance.
So what's the secret behind all these people?
The secret is that they all possess the "Patterns Of Excellence".
Imagine if you already possessed all the critical mindsets, habits, and behavior of the top 1% of people in the world.
With that, you could literally jump off a plane with a parachute, land anywhere in the world, and still be a roaring success where ever you are. Because you know the secret to success.

A Perfect Friend
PROVERBS 18:24 RSV
24 There are friends who pretend to be friends, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
Would you like to have a perfect friend?
A friend who loved you no matter what you did.
A friend who would always be there when you needed them.
A friend who knew you intimately yet still loved you.
A friend who always encouraged you and never put you down.
A friend who was smart but not conceited.
A friend who had no personal problems to distract them.
A friend who was powerful and famous, yet down-to-earth and approachable.
A friend who is righteous yet merciful to others.
A friend who never makes a mistake.
A friend who enjoyed having a good time and sharing a laugh with you.
A friend who had the knowledge and ability to help you with everything.
A friend who is not too good to wash your feet or clean your toilet, yet talented enough to be the best at everything.
A friend who puts your interests ahead of their own.
A friend who loves you more than you love yourself.
A friend who would be willing to die for you.
There is only one. His name is Jesus, and He wants to be your friend.
SAY THIS: Jesus is my friend.

Don't Quit
as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,
When he might have won if he'd stuck it out.
Don't give up, though the pace seems slow -You may succeed with another blow.
Often the goal is nearer than It seems to a faint and faltering man;
Often the struggler has given upWhen he might have captured the victor's cup,
And he learned too late, when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the golden crown.
Success is failure turned inside out -The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are -It may be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit -
It's when things seem worst that you mustn't quit.

Brain of an Indian
This is not a story but a true incident that happened in USA.
An Indian man walked into a bank in New York City one day and asked for the loan officer.
He told the loan officer that he was going to India on business for two weeks and needed to borrow $5,000.
The bank officer told him that the bank would need some form of security for the loan.
The Indian man handed over the keys to a new Ferrari parked on the street in front of the bank. He produced the title and everything checked out.
The loan officer agreed to accept the car as collateral for the loan. The bank's president and its officers all enjoyed a good laugh at the Indian for using a $250,000 Ferrari as collateral against a $5,000 loan.
An employee of the bank then drove the Ferrari into the bank's underground garage and parked it there. Two weeks later, the Indian returned, repaid the $5,000 and the interest, which came to $15.41.
The loan officer said, "Sir, we are very happy to have had your business, and this transaction has worked out very nicely, but we are a little puzzled.
While you were away, we checked you out and found that you are a multi millionaire.
What puzzles us is, why would you bother to borrow "$5,000"The Indian replied: "Where else in New York City can I park my car for two weeks for only $15.41 and expect it to be there when I return'"Ah, the brain of the Indian...
This is why India is shining!!!!!

Professional Speaker
Being a very shy person, it’s really been a challenging task for me. But I know I would soon become pro very soon by God’s grace.
I guess I already have the dormant skills within me so it’s time for me to brush it up to international standards.
I have really read some books and articles on Public Speaking that has really helped me and it’s time for me now to put this information into action.
Everyday I visualize myself speaking in front of a large audience and helping people and systems maximize their God given potentials.
And guess what I have been practicing in front of my mirror for some time now. lol
I believe that if I can see it, then I can be it. It’s just a matter of time. So right now I am going to look for opportunities to speak and share views with people.
So for me now, these are the days of humble beginnings. So just watch out for me because very soon I am going to be one of the most sought after speakers in the world.
Would keep you updated on my dream to become a World Class Professional Speaker

Be Grateful
No matter what the situation or circumstance is there would still be many things in your life that you can feel thankful and grateful for.
The fact that you are reading this post means that you still have life and that is a priceless reason to be grateful for.

I have this simple statement that I make to myself “ Thank you God for the gift of life, I know when there is life, there is hope and when there is hope I can cope with whatever situation I find myself”
So search within and I am sure you would find 1001 things to be grateful for and make sure you enjoy the quotes below.

Life is what you make it
Once there was an old man and very wise man. Everyday he and his granddaughter would sit outside a gas station in his rocking chair, waiting to greet tourists as they passed through his small town. One day a tall man who surely had to be a tourist, began looking around as if he were checking out the area for a place to live. “So what of kind of town is this?” he asked. The old man replied, “Well, what kind of town are you from?” The tourist said, “One where everyone is very critical of each other. It’s a real negative place to live.” The old man said “ You know, that’s just how this town is”. Later, a family passing through also stopped for gas. The father stepped out and asked the old man, “Is this town a good place to live?” “Well, what about the town you are from? The father said, “In the town I am from everyone is very close and always willing to lend a helping hand. I really hate to leave it. The old man smiled and said, “You know, that’s a lot like this small town”.
After the family had left the granddaughter looked up and asked, “Grandpa, how come when the first man came you told him this was a terrible place to live, yet when the family came you told them it was a wonderful place to live?” The old man looked down into his granddaughter’s wondering eyes and said, “ No matter where you go, you take your attitude with you. And that’s what makes it terrible or wonderful”
Yes, life is what you make it!!

If there is one thing that I believe is that life is all about risks. No pain No gain.
I have decided to take the risk in the Getaway Club and have invested in this investment scheme.
I believe as an Investor it’s good to spread your risks.
My personal strategy in investing in MLM’s and HYIP’s include
1. Invest only what you can afford to lose. Don’t invest amounts that
Would give u sleepless nights or high blood pressure.
2. Make sure you make the first move advantage. The earlier the better.
3. Take personal responsibility for your actions
Investing in HYIP’s and MLMs could be very risky but I guess the higher the risks the
Higher the returns.
I have a friend that is traveling abroad for his MBA next year courtesy Getaway Club.
I have made up my mind and decided to take the challenge

Carrot, Egg and Coffee....
A young woman went to her mother and told her about her life and
how things were so hard for her. She did not know how she was going to
make it and wanted to give up. She was tired of fighting and struggling.
It seemed as one problem was solved, a new one arose.
Her mother took her to the kitchen. She filled three pots with water and
placed placed each on a high fire. Soon the pots came to boil. In the
first, she placed first carrots, in the second she placed eggs, and in
the last she placed ground coffee beans. She let them sit and boil,
without saying a word.
In about twenty minutes she turned off the burners. She fished the
carrots out and placed them in a bowl. She pulled the eggs out and placed
them in a bowl.
Then she ladled the coffee out and placed it in a bowl.
Turning to her daughter, she asked, "Tell me what you see."
"Carrots, eggs, and coffee," she replied.
Her mother brought her closer and asked her to feel the carrots.
She did and noted that they were soft.
The mother then asked the daughter to take an egg and break it. After
pulling off the shell, she observed the hard boiled egg.
Finally, the mother asked the daughter to sip the coffee.
The daughter smiled as she tasted its rich aroma.
The daughter then asked, "What does it mean, mother?"
Her mother explained that each of these objects had faced the same
adversity - boiling water.
Each reacted differently.
The carrot went in strong, hard, and unrelenting. However, after being
subjected to the boiling water, it softened and became weak.
The egg had been fragile. Its thin outer shell had protected its liquid
interior, but after sitting through the boiling water, its inside became
hardened.
The ground coffee beans were unique, however. After they were in the
boiling water, they had changed the water.
"Which are you?" she asked her daughter. "When adversity knocks on your
door, how do you respond? Are you a carrot, an egg or a coffee bean?
Think of this: Which am I? Am I the carrot that seems strong, but
With pain and adversity do I wilt and become soft and lose my strength?
Am I the egg that starts with a malleable heart, but changes with the
heat? Did I have a fluid spirit, but after a death, a break-up, a
financial hardship or some other trial, have I become hardened and stiff?
Does my shell look the same, but on the inside am I bitter and tough with
a stiff spirit and hardened heart?
Or am I like the coffee bean? The bean actually changes the hot water,
the very circumstance that brings the pain. When the water gets hot, it
releases the fragrance and flavor. If you are like the bean, when things
are at their worst, you get better and change the situation around you.
When the hour is the darkest and trials are their greatest, do you
elevate yourself to another level? How do you handle adversity? Are you a
carrot, an egg or a coffee bean?
May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make
you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human and enough hope to make you
happy.
The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;
they just make the most of everything that comes along their way. The
brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past; you can't go
forward in life until you let go of your past failures and heart aches.
When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling.
Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone
around you is crying.
It's easier to build a child than repair an adult.
This is so true - may we all be COFFEE
Hope this post brightens someone’s day
Cheers!

Don't give up
One day I decided to quit... I quit my job, my relationship, my spirituality... I wanted to quit my life. I went to the woods to have one last talk with God.
'God', I asked, 'Can you give me one good reason not to quit?' His answer surprised me... 'Look around', He said. 'Do you see the fern and the bamboo?'
'Yes', I replied.'When I planted the fern and the bamboo seeds, I took very good care of them.
New Roman" color=#41341d size=5> New Roman'"> I gave them light.
I gave them water.
The fern quickly grew from the earth.
Its brilliant green covered the floor.
Yet nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo. In the second year the Fern grew more vibrant and plentiful. And again, nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo. He said. 'In year three there was still nothing from the bamboo seed.
But I would not quit. In year four, again, there was nothing from the bamboo seed. I would not quit.' He said.'Then in the fifth year a tiny sprout emerged from the earth. Compared to the fern it was seemingly small and insignificant...But just 6 months later the bamboo rose to over 100 feet tall. It had spent the five years growing roots. Those roots made it strong and gave it what it needed to survive. I would not give any of my creations a challenge it could not handle.' He asked me. 'Did you know, my child, that all this time you have been struggling, you have actually been growing roots'.
'I would not quit on the bamboo.
I will never quit on you.' 'Don't compare yourself to others.'
He said.
'The bamboo had a different Purpose than the fern.
Yet they both make the forest beautiful.' 'Your time will come', God said to me.
'You will rise high' 'How high should I rise?'
I asked. 'How high will the bamboo rise?' He asked in
return. 'As high as it can?' I questioned. 'Yes.' He said, 'Give me glory by rising as high as you can.' I left the forest and brought back this story.
I hope these words can help you see that God will never give up on you. Never, Never, Never Give up.For the Christian Prayer is not an option but an opportunity. Don't tell the Lord how big the problem is, tell the problem how Great the Lord is!
You will Succeed!!!!!

Think about your Future
Spend time to think about your Future. Successful people always have a clear future orientation. They know where they are right now and also where there are going to.
Successful people think five, ten and twenty years out into the future. They also have a road map into the future. They don’t just wander through life without a sense of direction.
When you spend quality time to think about the future, it makes you more focused and it helps you to be able to properly analyze your present choices and behaviors to make sure that they are consistent with the long-term future you desire.
It also helps you to be able to set your priorities right. You would be willing and able to make the best choices, decisions based on the future. Thinking about the Future also helps you to clearly evaluate your present activity and ensure that they are consistent with where you truly want to end up.
Finally its been confirmed that people who take time to think about their future always seem to make more decisions about their time and activities than people who give very little thought to their future,So make sure you start spending time to think about your future. Spend time to think about the man or woman, father or mother that you want to be.

Our Greatest Fear
Our Greatest Fear —Marianne Williamson
It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other
people won't feel insecure around you.We were born to make manifest the glory ofGod that is within us.
It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,we unconsciously give other peoplepermission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,Our presence automatically liberates others

Take Responsibilty for Your Life
Take Responsibilty for Your Life by Daniel N. Brown Do you find yourself living from paycheck to paycheck? Do you often feel overwhelmed, tired, and worn out? Are you in debt? Is there no enjoyment in what you do? If the answer to any four of these questions is a yes, then ask yourself a simple question. Why am I not living my dream? I find that most people go through life, just enduring it. They become numb to their problems. Things are just uncomfortable enough to complain, but do nothing about. Joyce Meyer has a saying that says, "Complain, and remain." I don't know about you, but I did not want to remain in a dead end job, poor health, lousy marriage, endless bills, and everything else that wanted to steal my joy. Hopefully, you're not like a lot of other people who make excuses. All excuses are the same, and one is no better that an another. Excuses are completely useless and only render us completely helpless. Making excuses and casting blame only make us out to be the victim. There is absolutely no power in playing the part of a victim. I know... I've been there and done that! No one could beat me at the blame game. I was the king of blame because I was the ultimate victim (so I thought). I always wondered, "Why did life deal me such a poor hand? Why does everyone else always get all the breaks? If it wasn't for you I could be successful." Even at one point, I went so far to say that someone put a curse on me. I eventually took full responsibility for my shortcomings, but it was only after I acknowledged where I was, and why. The truth hurts. I had to admit to myself, and everyone around me, that in some fashion, I caused this. I admitted that I was making excuses and casting the blame. It was a humbling experience, to say the least. But, it was worth it. The answers to most complicated problems are usually simple. Not all... but most. I understand there are things that arecompletely out of our control. But, those things are just life and we must deal with them with the best attitude we can. As for the majority of our problems, the first step is to acknowledge our situation. It's a fact that we can never solve a problem in our lives until we can first acknowledge that we have one. Just consider, maybe you really did make some poor choices that led you to where you are right now. Once you take on the responsibility for your own life you'll feel liberated and experience new power. God will bring the necessary people and circumstances to come about that will pull you up. Until then, God continues to wait on you to stop complaing, feeling sorry for yourself, and casting blame on other people. He wants you to have faith in Him, knowing that He is more than able to bless you more than you can imagine. If you sincerely want to move on with your life, you can... if you decide to. Make a decision today and experience the power that comes as a result of taking full responsibility for your life. Daniel N. Brown is an entrepreneur and teacher of biblical success principles! The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership
Leadership is the key to everything. It determines the quality of our future.Leadership truly develops from inside out.If you can become the Leader you ought to be on the inside, you will become the Leader you want to be on the outside. There is a wonderful book on leadership by John Maxwell and I feel everyone that desires to be a great Leader should read that book. It's called the 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership. Excerpts from John Maxwell's 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership The 21 irrefutable laws of leadership The Law of Lid Leadership ability determines person’s levels of effectiveness. Brother Dick and Maurice came as close as they could to living the American Dream-without making it. Instead a guy named Ray did it with the company they had founded. It happened because they didn’t know the law of the lid The Law of Influence The true measure of leadership influence- nothing more, nothing less. Her husband had everything: wealth, privilege, position, and a royal title. Yet instead of him, Princess Diana won over the whole world. Why? She understood the law of influence. The Law of Process Leadership develops daily, not in a day. Theodore Roosevelt helped create a world power, won a noble peace prize, and became president of the United States. But today you wouldn’t even know his name if he hadn’t know the law of process. The Law of Navigation Anyone Can Steer the Ship, but it Takes a Leader to Chart the Course. Using a fail-safe compass, Scott led his team of adventures to the end of the earth-and to inglorious deaths. They would have lived if only he, their leader, had known the Law of Navigation. The Law of E.F.hutton When the Real Leader Speaks, People Listen. Young John went into his first board meeting thinking he was in charge. He soon found out who the real leader was and learned the Law of E.F Hutton in the process. The Law of Solid Ground Trust is the foundation of leadership. If only Robert McNamara had known the Law of Solid Ground, the war in Vietnam-and everything that had happened at home because of it might have turned out differently. The Law of Respect People naturally follow leaders stronger than themselves. The odds were stacked against her in just about every possible way, but thousands and thousands of people called her their leader. Why? Because they could not escape the power of the Law of Respect. The Law of Intuition Leaders evaluate everything with a leadership bias. How is it that time after time Norman Schwarzkopt was able to sense problems while other leaders around him got blindsided? The answer lies in the factor that separates the great leaders from the merely good ones: the Law of Intuition. The Law of Magnetism Who are you is who you attract. Why are the Dallas Cowboys, once revered as “America’s Team,” now so often reviled and the subject of controversy? The Law of Magnetism makes it clear. The Law of Connection Leaders touch a heart before they ask for a hand. Elizabeth Dole has mastered it. If husband Bob had done the same, he might have become the forty-third president of the United States. It’s called The Law of Connection. The Law of the Inner Circle A leader’s potential is determined by those closest to him. John already used time management to the fullest, but he wanted to accomplish more. His priorities were leveraged to the hilt, and there were no more minutes in a day! How did he go to another level? He practiced the Law of Inner Circle. The Law of Empowerment Only secure leaders give power to others. Henry Ford is considered an icon of American business for revolutionizing the automobile industry. So what caused him to stumble so badly that his son feared Ford Motor Company would go out of business? He was held captive by the Law of Empowerment. The Law of Reproduction It takes a leader to raise up a leader. What do the top NFL head coaches have in common? You can trace their leadership ability to just a handful of mentors. That’s also true for hundreds of CEOs. More than 80 percent of all leaders are the result of the The Law of Reproduction. The Law of Buy-in People buy into the leader, then the vision. The first time Judy Estrim started up a company, it took her six months to find the money. The second time it took her about six minutes. What made the difference? The Law of Buy-in The Law of Victory Leaders find a way for the team to win. What saved England from the Blitz, broke apartheid’s back in South Africa, and won the Chicago Bulls multiple world championships? In all three cases the answer is the same. Their leaders lived by the Law of Victory. The Law of the big MO Momentum is a leader’s best friend. Jaime Escalate has been called the best teacher in America. But his teaching ability is only half the story. His and Garfield High School’s success came because of the Law of the big Mo The Law of Priorities Leaders understand that Activity is not unnecessarily Accomplishment. Jack Welch took a company that was already high and rocketed it into the stratosphere? What did he use as the launching pad? The law of Priorities, of course The Law of Sacrifice A Leader must give up to go up. He was one of the nation’s most vocal critics on government interference in business. So why did Lee Lococca go before the Congress with his hat in his hand for loan guarantees? He did it because he understood the Law of Sacrifice The Law of Timing When to lead is as important as what to do and where to go. It got him elected president of the United States. It also cost him the presidency. What is it? Something that may stand between you and your ability to lead effectively. It’s called the Law of Timing. The Law of Explosive Growth To add growth, lead followers to multiply, lead leaders. How did a man in a developing country take his organization from 700 people to more than 14,000 in only seven years? He did it using Leader’s math. That’s the secret of the Law of Explosive Growth. The Law of Legacy A Leader’s lasting value is measured by succession. When many companies lose their CEO, they go into tailspin but when Roberto Goizueta died Coca-Cola didn’t even hiccup. Why? Before his death, Goizuetta lived by the Law of Legacy. Take care and have a lovely week. Godspeed! |

Gibson's Six Rules Of Leadership
I have been reading alot of leadership and I have discovered that everything lies and falls on Leadership and a major problem with most countries and organisations is that of leadership. So I would be sharing some resources on Leadership and would appreciate your inputs. Gibson's six rules of leadership Rule Number one: Do what you say you will do. The world is full of leaders who say one thing, and do another. Do what you say you will do, every time, in every instance. Remember the example of George Bush Sr., who said "Read my lips, no new taxes," and then went ahead and raised them anyway. After he did that, vomiting into the lap of the Japanese Prime Minister only sealed his fate. Rule Number two: Begin and end meetings on time. Let's say you're a leader, and you have 30 people come to a weekly meeting. If you start that meeting 15 minutes late, and end 15 minutes late, you've just wasted 15 man-hours of work. Sure, maybe you've got time to burn -- but some of those people may actually be doing something. Meetings are a necessary evil, but they really shouldn't be too evil. Rule Number three: Be worthy of your team. If you hire great people, they deserve a great leader to motivate them. If you're not good enough, have the decency to either make yourself better, or get out of the way for someone who can. Be as great a person as you are capable of. Be worthy of the team of individuals who follow you. You will never be able to do everything -- and you shouldn't try to be all things to all people -- but you should be the best person you are capable of becoming. Rule Number four: Set grand goals, and then shoot for them. People expect their leaders to set goals -- mainly because they don't set goals themselves. Set a target to hit, and then shoot for the target. Rule Number five: Give credit where credit is due. Some leaders take all the credit when things go well -- and place all the blame on their associates. Truly effective leaders give praise where it's due -- and although they may share the blame, they do it in an effective, positive way, concentrating on training and loss prevention. Rule Number six: Lead. Seems stupid to say it, but it's a common mistake. I like the line that's attributed to Chester Nimitz: "When you're in command, command." Too many would-be leaders never get down to the business of leading. Start out toward your destination, and expect people to follow you. If they respect you, they'll follow. If they don't follow, you either haven't explained the destination clearly enough, or they don't consider you worthy of being a leader. Wish you all the best and see you at the top |

When Your Hut is on fire
The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small, uninhabited island. He prayed feverishly for God to rescue him. Every day he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming. Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect himself from the elements, and to store his few possessions.
One day, after scavenging for food, he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, with smoke rolling up to the sky. He felt the worst had happened, and everything was lost. He was stunned with disbelief, grief, and anger. He cried out, "God! How could you do this to me?"
Early the next day, he was awakened by the sound of a ship approaching the island! It had come to rescue him! "How did you know I was here?" asked the weary man of his rescuers. "We saw your smoke signal," they replied.
The Moral of This Story: It's easy to get discouraged when things are going bad, but we shouldn't lose heart, because God is at work in our lives, even in the midst of our pain and suffering. Remember, that the next time your little hut seems to be burning to the ground. It just may be a smoke signal that summons the Grace of God.
Wish you all the best.
Godspeed!

Nigerian Embassy
Suddenly, NEPA took light all over Abuja. Bill Clinton was annoyed: he turned to Obasanjo and said: I thought you people were making progress in this country, how come you still have power cuts? This is a big disgrace!"Obasanjo was ashamed and angry, but couldn't say anything. He just kept fuming throughout the rest of the conference.
Six months later, Obasanjo went to Washington to see Clinton. After their discussion, they went to the White House balcony to have some drinks and discuss in a relaxed manner. While they where there, Obasanjo looked around the City [It was night] and was surprised to see an area that was dark: there was a power cut in that part of town. Obasanjo was happy!
He shouted to Bill Clinton: "You came to my country and insulted me on our power system, see your own now? You people also have electricity shortage here in Washington! Shame on you!"Obasanjo was very happy!
Then Bill Clinton frowned, looked at the area very well, and called one aide to ask him where that area was. The aide whispered in Clinton’s ear, and Clinton burst into laughter.
He was laughing so hard that he began to roll on the ground, with tears coming out of his eyes.Obasanjo was puzzled, he asked Clinton: "Are you okay?" Clinton finally managed to stand up and pointed to the dark area and said, between heavy laughter:
"That's the Nigerian Embassy!"
Local Call
Queen Elizabeth said "I miss England; I want to call England and see how everybody is doing there". She called and talked for about 5 minutes, and then she asked "Well, Devil, how much do I owe you????
The devil says "Five million pounds". She wrote him a cheque and went to sit back on her chair.
Bill Clinton was so jealous, he starts screaming, "My turn! I wanna call the United States; I want to see how everybody is doing there too.
He called and talked for about 2 minutes, and then he asked Well, Devil, how much do I owe you???? The devil says "Ten million dollars". With a smug look on his face, he made a cheque and went to sit back on his chair.
Obasanjo was even more jealous & starts screaming, I want to call Nigeria too, I want to see how everybody is doing there too. I want to talk to the ministers, to the deputy, I want to talk to the PDP, everybody.....He calls Nigeria and he talks for about twenty hours, he talked & talked & talked, then he asked, "Well, Devil, how much do I owe you????
The devil says "One dollar".
Obasanjo is stunned & says "One dollar??? Only one freaking dollar??"
The Devil says "Well if you make a call from one hell to another hell, its local!
